Float

A Float value, or floating-point value, represents a non-whole number.

Input format

A Float value is specified in base 10 using a dot (.) as decimal mark. The use of scientific notation, e.g. 1.48e12, is allowed. The following examples are all valid:

42
0.82348
-5.0
1.48e12
-3.98e-8

Output format

In JSON output, a Float value is returned as a JSON number, for example:
